UPCOMING MUST-SEE MOVIES #9
It’s time to share some of the upcoming movies I want to see. I’ve honestly missed doing my little movie research and checking out what’s out there. The last few months have been extremely busy but I managed to find time to watch quite a few movies from the last upcoming must-see movie list. I watched; Jason Bourne, The Secret Life of Pets, Love & Friendship, Suicide Squad and Finding Dory. Here are a few movies in chronological order that are coming to the Danish movie theaters (they may be released earlier or later in other countries) during September and October 2016 , which I really want to see!
SAUSAGE PARTY
This movie seems like it will make me laugh a lot! The sausage ‘Frank’ believes a sort of heaven exists outside the supermarket and once someone has picked you – you’ll be going there! But he soon finds out that it isn’t exactly the sort of sausage-heaven he had hoped for. So he ventures out in the world to try and warn other sausages. I think this movie has a good and funny cast lined up, I’m sure it’ll be fun!
The movie will be out in theaters September 8th.
BRIDGET JONES’ BABY
She’s back, and this time she is pregnant but doesn’t know with who! I loved the first couple of movies with Bridget. She is quirky, she’s a little confused and very lovable! Yes, it’s most definitely a chick-flick and I’m sure we can all figure out the ending really fast – but that’s not the point! The point is we love Bridget’s universe and look forward to be ‘in it’ once more. I also personally adore Colin Firth, he has a certain charm.
The movie will be out in theaters September 15th.
THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN
This movie is actually a remake of an old movie by the same title from the 1960’s. The ‘funny’ thing is that that movie is also a remake of a japanese movie from the 1950’s. It’s about seven (can you believe it!) different gun-men who protects a small village from an evil gangs of criminals. Your basic western movie! The cast is awesome and I look forward to see some action.
The movie will be out in theaters September 22nd.
DEEPWATER HORIZON
I’m a bit of a sucker of these sort of movies based on real events. This movie is about an oil rig which exploded in 2010 which resulted in the largest oil leak in US history. Mark Wahlberg and Kate Hudson stars in it, and it looks real good and quite intense. Mark Wahlberg plays one of the guys who was on board the rig as it exploded and it is his story we will follow.
The movie will be out in theaters September 29th.
MISS PEREGRINE’S
HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN
Eva Green is so wonderfully mysterious and this movie is just right up my street. I love peculiar and magical things, and although this may be aimed more towards kids – well, I’m a kid at heart! The story seems beautiful and at the same time a bit sad. Also it’s Tim Burton who’s behind it, so of course I have to see it. It’s about a boy who travels to a small island where he meets, well, peculiar children…
The movie will be out in theaters September 29th.
CAFÉ SOCIETY
Café Society takes place in the 1930’s and is about a young hopeful man travelling to Hollywood to work in the movie business. During his stay in hollywood he falls in love, and is mesmerized by the so-called ‘café culture’. It is Woody Allen’s 43rd movie and it has Jesse Eisenberg in the lead role. I think it looks really interesting, and I do tend to like Woody Allen’s movies.
The movie will be out in theaters October 6th.
STORKS
I love animated movies (as most of you probably know by now) and this one seems so cute! The storks has always delivered babies, but the demand has changed and they have now become a delivery service of general goods. The top delivery guy (stork) accidentally hits the button that ‘creates’ a baby and now he has to figure out what to do with her.
The movie will be out in theaters October 6th.
PETE’S DRAGON
This movie is, like the magnificent seven, also a remake. I think most of my generation knows of Pete’s dragon and I think the new one looks really nice too. The animation looks spot on and the story is as always adorable. Pete is an orphan who befriends the dragon Elliot and one day Pete is found in the forest, which means Pete’s life is about to change.
The movie will be out in theaters October 13th.
DOCTOR STRANGE
I can’t wait to see this. The trailer looks really interesting and I just love the whole Marvel universe. And as I mentioned in the ‘most anticipated movies’ post it’s BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH!!! And I love myself some Cumberbatch, he is just a great actor and I am certain he will play this role fantastically. This story is about a young aspiring, slightly arrogant surgeon whose life turns upside down when a Wizard takes him under his wing.
The movie will be out in theaters October 28th.
i want to see cafe society too. It looks really nice.
