UPCOMING MUST-SEE MOVIES #15
This is one of my favorite posts to write, and it’s finally time to share some of the upcoming movies at the cinema I want to see. It’s actually the first movie list of 2018! I’ve, as always, been to the movies a few times the last couple of months. I’ve seen Bad Mom’s 2, Justice League, American Assassin and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the latter was really really good! Here are a few movies in chronological order that are coming to the Danish movie theaters (they may be released earlier or later in other countries) during January and February 2017, which I really want to see!
PITCH PERFECT 3
This isn’t a masterpiece of an Oscar worthy movie. But, because I’ve seen the first two Pitch Perfect movies, I want to see the third and final? movie as well. I like the music, and the actors and although the plot is usually mediocre its still been worth watching. Oh and this time Ruby Rose is in it too (OITNB anyone!?).
The movie will be out in theaters January 4th.
WIND RIVER
When I first read the title I wasn’t sure it was for me. Then I saw the trailer, and I thought it looked really interesting. Also kinda fun to see the two avengers actors in another movie together 😀 Or is that just me? no? Anyway, this movie is about a murder in Wyoming that an FBI agent is trying to solve with the help of a local game tracker. Seems intense!
The movie will be out in theaters January 4th.
WONDER
This movie looks SO sweet. Wonder is about a boy named August. He is a kind and loving boy with facial differences, and when he starts primary school for the first time his parents (played by Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson) worry that he won’t fit in because people will give him a hard time. This movie seems so heartfelt, and I really look forward to see it.
The movie will be out in theaters January 4th.
THE COMMUTER
Let’s just all agree that Liam Neeson kicks ass. We agree? Okay, then let me continue. In commuter we see Michael (Liam Neeson) commuting too and from work, by train. He meets a woman who asks him to join her experiment. This experiment is not as easy as it seems, and suddenly it all turns dark and Michael must fight for his and his family’s lives.
The movie will be out in theaters January 11th.
THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI
The title of this movie is actually what made me click the trailer, cause’ it had me like “whaaaat? kind of title is that”. Well, it’s a very well put title is what I would say. In this movie we meet Mildred, whose teenage daughter was murdered. And the cops aren’t really getting anywhere in solving the case, so she puts up some billboards…
The movie will be out in theaters January 11th.
DOWNSIZING
This looks like a really good comedy-drama, and what an interesting idea. Just imagine if it was actually possible!? Downsizing is about a man (Matt Damon) realising that he needs to shrink himself in order to live better, because in this miniature world your money are worth much more. However, everything does not go according to plan.
The movie will be out in theaters January 18th.
DARKEST HOUR
I may have this sort of love for things that has to do with English history. I loved Dunkirk, The Imitation Game and The Crown, just to name a few. Gary Oldman looks so unrecognizable in his costume, and it actually took me a few glances to understand it was him – I was first 100% sure when I heard him talk 🙂 This movie is about Winston Churchill, who was prime minister during the second world war.
The movie will be out in theaters January 25th.
MAZE RUNNER: DEATH CURE
This is a bit of a gamble, because I’m not sure it’s going to be great. But, once again, I’ve seen the other two movies and I want to see what happens next. The whole Maze Runner universe is about a dystopian future and in this movie the main character Thomas must find a cure for a disease named “flare”.
The movie will be out in theaters January 25th.
COCO
I do love a good Disney Pixar movie, and Coco seems to be just that. Coco is a boy who loves to play guitar, and he has a big Idol; Ernesto de la cruz. He adores him, and one day he visits his idol’s grave and tries to play his guitar, and then he suddenly finds himself in another magical world.
The movie will be out in theaters February 8th.
BLACK PANTHER
We were introduced to Black Panther last year in Captain America: Civil War, and since then I have been looking forward to learn more about him. T’Challa (Black panther) returns home after the loss of his father, who was a king of a very technologically advanced country, to take his rightful place as the new king. I would definitely recommend watching Civil War before this, as you will understand a bit more about the whole situation.
The movie will be out in theaters February 15th.
MOLLY’S GAME
Based on the true story about a woman, Molly, who was a professional skier that got involved with exclusive high-stakes poker games. Idris Elba and Jessica Chastains are both great actors and honestly the trailer just hooked me! It looks really interesting and it kinda makes me want to read the book written by Molly Bloom.
The movie will be out in theaters February 22nd.
THE SHAPE OF WATER
Guillermo del Toro creates the most beautiful universes; I still love Pan’s Labyrinth (although it really spooks me) and although I haven’t seen the latest movie he directed, Crimson Peak, I definitely need to see this. The Shape of Water is a supernatural drama that takes place in the 1960’s USA. A mute girl, Elisa, works in a laboratory and one day she discovers a secret project…
The movie will be out in theaters February 22nd.
Which movies are YOU going to see the next few months? 😀

I hope so too. It looks fun at least 😀
Hi. I’m looking forward to watch Maze Runner: The Death Cure, I’ve already viewed the first two parts. I’m excited for this one. I want to have a look at Wonder as well.
Wonder does look very cute, and I hope Maze Runner: The Death Cure will be good!
