Eden Project (in Cornwall)

I had read about the Eden Project and I suggested to Matt that we should see it on the way to Penzance. I didn’t know much about it other than it being about working towards a better future through nature. Or something along those lines. We arrived around 15:00 and had an hour or so left until the park closed. It was a little rainy when we arrived but luckily it stopped shortly after, yay! I absolutely loved the place, the variety of flowers and trees were amazing and I loved the domes. Although we only saw one of them because one of them was shut due to a wedding (I actually snuck inside that one anyway for a peak since they were just setting things up). They also had very delicious ice cream and a great souvenir store. Honestly one of the best souvenir stores I’ve ever visited. I think my favorite part of Eden was the rainforest biome, it kinda takes me back to Ecuador which makes me feel like being home in a way.

01. Last week I had my first meeting with my BA advisor. I think it went well, I got an idea of what to try and focus on and how to start. It kinda does feel like a really hard task to begin researching for my paper, but it’s something I began properly yesterday. Baby steps!

02. In other exciting news; Last Wednesday I had a dentist appointment. It had been almost 1,5 years since my last appointment. I normally never let more than a year go by between appointments. However, my last appointment was supposed to be in the start of June and that was when Richard passed away so I didn’t really want to go to the dentist at that time. Anyway, it went well I had no holes!

03. On Friday I am going to a stand-up show with Maiken. I honestly can’t wait. I have actually never been to a stand-up show… Perhaps this will get more going some more? It’s a Danish duo named Adam & Noah and they basically just make fun of us danes. They have a youtube channel which is what sort of got them started. I’m so excited! ?

04. I decided last Friday to get a haircut. Last haircut was last August in England, and my hair really needed a cut. I actually took 10-12 cm off ?

Life Lately ♡

January, 2016.

I started off the new year in London, England. I actually stayed in England until the 12th of January, so I basically started the year in vacation-mode, which I guess is a pretty neat way to begin a new year really. England was beautiful, the weather was not too cold and I had a really good time. I did some shopping, playing boardgames, watched The Hateful Eight at the cinema and pet some sheep! When I arrived back in Copenhagen it had become winter. Man it was cold the first week being home. The day after I came home it started to snow and then it became cold, at least in my eyes (-4 celcius!). I spend the last few weeks of January preparing for uni, working, blogging and I started reading Charlotte Crosby’s ‘Me Me Me’. I have especially focused on preparing for my upcoming Bachelor project/paper I have to hand in in the middle of May. But I have also made sure to relax before it all really takes off.

Five Tips for saving money (as a student)

As I am a student, I am on a budget. I figured I’d share some of my best tips for still having a “fun” life whilst on a budget. Because it is not impossible! You just have to prioritize a bit (which I guess is sort of obvious). I didn’t make a budget until a few years ago. I wish I had done it at the beginning when I moved out, but hopefully these tips can inspire someone else. Do leave your own tips in the comments if you have some too!
