Jessica’s Hen do – Part one
In May 2019 Matt’s sister invited me to her hen do in England. It was a super fun couple of days, and I must say her best friends had planned an amazing itinerary. The day started with a drive from Bollington to The Mere Resort in Knutsford where we had afternoon tea.

Jessica’s hen do at The Mere Spa and Hotel in Knutsford was absolutely delightful. The hotel itself is stunning, with contemporary rooms offering breathtaking views of the lush Cheshire countryside and the impeccably maintained golf course. The spa is a true sanctuary, complete with a large indoor pool, sauna, and steam room, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The afternoon tea was a highlight, featuring beautiful cakes and sandwiches, delightful tea, and a touch of luxury with champagne.

We gathered in a beautifully decorated table, creating the perfect atmosphere for a special celebration. The afternoon tea was a true indulgence, featuring an array of beautifully presented cakes and sandwiches that were as delicious as they were elegant. The tea selection was also great, and to make it even more festive, we enjoyed glasses of champagne. It was a perfect blend of sophistication and fun, making Jessica’s hen do a memorable and joyous occasion.

Enjoying the spa facilities
We spent a blissful afternoon enjoying the spa at The Mere. The facilities were top-notch, offering a much-needed break from our usual routines. We relaxed in the large indoor pool and unwound in the sauna. The steam room, however, was a bit too hot for my liking 🥵. The tranquil atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made it a perfect day.
