A Peek Into: Frozen

This post has been a long time coming. Frozen… I mean it’s FROZEN. The oh-my-god-best-disney-movie-ever hype winter 2013, Frozen. I was on that hype too. I still am. I will always love this movie. December 2013 I dragged Richard to the movies to watch it, well dragged and dragged… He did actually enjoy animated movies so I didn’t have to drag him too much. So far I’ve seen Frozen about seven times. And I wouldn’t mind watching it again this winter. The music itself makes the movie amazing, then there are the jokes and the voice-actors too. Plus this movie surprises you and not many Disney movies surprise you in that way to be honest.

So what is Frozen about?

Well unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past few years you should very well know what it’s about, but for the rock hiders; I shall tell you. Frozen is a movie based on a H.C Andersen’s fairy tale “The Snow Queen”. I should probably mention that the fairy tale and the movie aren’t that alike. So if you read the book and think that’s what Frozen is gonna be like you’ll be disappointed and vice versa.

Elsa and Anna are sisters, they are princesses and they live in Arendelle. Elsa has magic powers (she can create snow!), which she is born with, and one day when the two sisters are playing Elsa accidentally hurts Anna. Anna turns cold as ice and their parents bring her to some trolls who can cure most things. The troll shaman says he will cure her but he has to remove Anna’s memory of Elsa’s powers, and that they must conceal them for Anna. Fast forward many years and it is Elsa’s coronation day. There is a big party in Elsa’s honor and later during the party her powers are revealed. People of Arendelle are scared and Elsa flees the city.

I may be biased because I love most Disney movies (okay all Disney movies), but Frozen is such a fun and loving movie. I loved every moment of the movie, especially when Olaf appears, he is such a sweet character!

Watch it if

You like animated movies, or you generally just like Disney. If you have kids it is definitely a MUST watch and I am sure they will join the group of frozen-frenzied-children. Its a perfect movie for a movie night with your friends. It will make you laugh and hopefully surprise you too.
