A little Origins skincare giveaway
It’s really become winter here in Scandinavia, which means the biting cold really hits our skin. For that reason I figured it would be a great time to give away this amazing set of skin-savers from Origins. In the set you get a great face wash, a clay mask, an amazing scrub and a lovely hydrating moisturiser. I am personally a big fan of the scrub and mask and I use them weekly! I do switch my face wash routine up a bit but at the moment I am actually using this one daily, I’ll soon run out though. I have another face wash from Clinique lined up though which I am intrigued to try.
The rules for the giveaway are explained in short below. Basically all you have to do is leave a comment with your best winter skincare tip. I figured it would be a good idea to share tips which all of us can learn from. You don’t have to follow my blog to enter, although I would greatly appreciate it if you do (see my social media buttons in the top right corner). Do remember to fill out the comment form so I have a chance to get a hold of you if you should win. I will use random.org to pick the winner. Scroll further down for the terms and conditions of the giveaway.
My own advice or skincare tip, that I live by during winter, is to drink loads of water and make sure to keep my skin hydrated. I also use “Drink Up“, which is a hydrating over-night mask from Origins, twice a week.

love Origins, have tried the mask before and it really is amazing!
my skin tip in winter is to exfoliate dead skin, and make sure to use a more moisturising product in winter too
Coconutoil! For body, face AND hair 🙂
Drinking water is definitely important! My skincare tip would be to moisturize! I usually have a hot shower, with the steam activating dead sea salts or other epsom salts, and I moisturize while my skin is still slightly damp so the moisturizer gets absorbed better! 🙂 Great site! I look forward to reading more. Maybe we can collaborate someday! Take care, Joanna
Oh that sounds really cool with the ‘steam activating dead sea salts’, where are those from? And I completely agree moisturize is SO important.
Thank you so much your blog is so lovely too. Just email me if you have any ideas for collaboration 🙂 x
My winter skincare tip is to keep moisturizer and a lip protectant on hand at all times. I also find that using a humidifier in our home really helps with my skin in the dry months too. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

I use a very moisturizing gel-cream from Clinique, which is amazing!
Great giveaway! My best tip is moisture… Moisture, moisture, moisture. So I use a lot of thick, rich cream through the winter and my skin loves it!
Use a few drops of oil in your regular day and night moisturiser to customize it. It can be an actual face oil, or just some edible cooking oil from your kitchen cabinet (rapeseed, olive or grapeseed). Don’t overdo it, and mix carefully in your hand for each use. Your skin will thank you and hold on to moisture much more during the cold, dry days.
That is a really cool tip! And cheap if you already have a lot of olive oil in your kitchen 😀
Sudocrem face mask works a treat especially when you have spots. – And its super cost effective!
I use a nice and thick face cream daily 🙂
25% American Oil and 75% sunflower Oil amazing for dry skin
My best tip is sticking to whatever works for you and never ever touching your face with dirty hands haha! xx

So true with the never-ever touching your face with dirty hands. Something I sometimes forget if im out ?
My advice is keeping the skin moist when it’s cold outside!
I use Weleda’s Skin Food cream as a night cream when my skin is extra try.
I use Oil in my hair
My skin gets dry very easy so I make sure to always have a lotion near me. It does wonders!
My tip is to wash your pillowcase(s) very often! I do mine whenever I do any other laundry.
Oh yes! This is so important, I remember reading that someone a few years ago and thought; “Oh that makes so much sense”. Ever since then I’ve always changed them more frequently! Super tip!! ?
I use a very good skin cream and sunblock when the sun is out
Sugarscrub with almondoil
Use coconut oil for your hair, your skin and the inside (for cooking e.g. ;))
I drink a lot of water and use lotions to remove my make up 🙂
I use products from Elizabeth Arden to keep my skin moist all year. During the winter time, I make sure to always have a creme in my handbag and moist the skin whenever needed. Also, I drink a lot of water and exercise. ??
Using a humidifer to bring more moisture to my skin
Plenty of water and a good cream ?
I use an unctuous moisturizer, with argan oil !
Miatilda A
i use moisturizer and always wear sunscreen regardless of the temperature.
This is so nice of you to do for your readers!
My skin gets SO dry in the winter months so it is so important to take care of it! One of the things I like to do obviously stay hydrated (lots of water) but I also like to use Josie Maran Argan Oil at night before bed AND I use it underneath my makeup sort of like a primer. It really helps keep my face moisturized!
Thanks for doing this! 🙂

I need to use a lil extra moisturizer on my dry spots in the winter. Coconut oil is great to have on hand
I put on a moisturizer before bed so my skin can soak up all the goodness while i sleep and be more protected throughout my days.

Fantastisk giveaway!
go to sauna often it gives you a glow to the skin:-)
My tip is after your shower put moisturizer on that way you will stay soft

Use moisturizer and cover up in the wind.
My winter skincare tip is to keep your skin moisturizer and use lip balm – and drink plenty of water 🙂

My best skincare tip is WATER – I always have a glass of water next to me at work making sure I drink enough all day.
Otherwise I always use a scrub twice a week making my skin more alive and I think it helps when applying a moisturizer afterwards.
I also eat a lot of nuts (especially almonds) which I was once told also gives you a more beautiful skin – not sure if it’s really true but I believe it works 😉
My Best Winter beautytip is moisturise – moisturise, moisturise and moisturise.
It’s Best if you use a facescrub and a lipscrub/toothbrush a couple of times a week, and then use a facecream customized to your skintype – all skintypes need moisturise inkluding oily skin. I use a lip balm every Night before I go to bed, I have One on my nighttable so I remember every day.
Fingers crossed!
Drink a lot of water and eat a lot of the good fat like the fat from avokado, nuts and fat fish.
I’m a guy and I don’t know much about skincare, but I would like to win the set for my girlfriend. The only thing that I can say is in the winter my skin can’t handle shaving every day so I only do it every 2 and 3 day. And then I use a facecream an lipbalm every day!
Hope that I win so I can make my girlfriend happy ?
Since I have extremely dry skin, I like to exfoliate my skin gently 4-5 nights a week and then pop on a thick nice moisturiser afterwards! It gets rid of all of my dry patches and leaves my skin extremely soft 🙂
– Probably not something everyone should do, as it can be quite harsh on the skin, but for those who suffer from dry patches it’s definitely worth a try!
Otherwise, as everyone else is saying, drinking enough water is really important! Not only does it do wonders for the skin, it also makes you more energised!
My winter skin tip is:
1. Get sleep enough
2. Drink a lot of water.
3. Use a mask, that fits your skintype, before nighttime 2-3 days at week.
My biggest tip would be lots of moisture, drink lots of water and use a humidifier. jfitze@hotmail.com
vaseline and oil free moisturiser
My best winter skincare tip is to drink a lot of water, and musturise your skin with a thick layer of cream every day.
