Movie Review: Just Go With It

The plot.
Danny is a successful plastic surgeon who has found the wedding ring to be a good object for getting women into bed with him. One day he meets a girl, Palmer,  he really falls for. The only problem is she thinks he is married and is in the midst of getting a divorce. Danny now has to prove that he is in fact getting a divorce and convinces his assistant Kathrine to pretend to be his wife. Kathrine agrees to help out and she even ends up dragging her two kids into it! Now they all have to put on a big act to help Danny out…

My opinion.
I found the movie to be witty, sweet and well.. predictable. But I think most romantic comedies these days are quite predictable and it’s not something that I personally care too much about. The humor in this movie is cheesy but in a good Adam Sandler way! And I like his humor and movies, so for me, it’s good. The storyline itself is not all too surprising but some of the jokes did surprise me. Jennifer Aniston plays remarkably well as the pretend-wife and assistant I loved her in that role, but maybe that’s just cause I’ve always been fond of her? The kids in this movie are great as well which for me is quite important! There’s nothing worse than bad acting. But it’s certainly not the case here.

Watch it if…
You like Adam Sandler! If you don’t like Adam Sandler I would not recommend this movie for you 😛 If you like romantic Hollywood comedies then this is just for you. I’d say this movie is perfect for a girls night or if you are a guy and want to pick a nice movie for a night in with your girlfriend, this is the one to chose! Don’t expect too much from it cause you might not be rolling around the floor laughing but you will giggle once in a while I’m sure 🙂
