Great Yarmouth
BRITANNIA PIER
After having walked around Norwich all day we decided to swing by Britannia Pier, in Great Yarmouth, to catch some nice fresh air. Matt had been there as a kid and wanted to see it again. The weather was a bit cloudy and it was rather windy, but that didn’t really matter at all. Britannia Pier is such a cute place with a lot of fun things to do. I bet during a hot summer’s day it’ll be filled with people! As we were walking along the pier we saw a group of people playing crown green bowls. It looked like a tournament, so we stood and watched it for a good fifteen minutes. I had never heard of the game before, kinda reminded me of Pétanque. We played some slots and some other random games at the arcades and actually ended up spending a couple of hours there.
When it started to rain a bit we decided it was time to head to Cambridge. Now, we had a smaller challenge ahead. Our phones were low on battery, the car navigation was low on battery AND the thing that’s supposed to charge electrical equipment in the car was broken. Halfway to Cambridge we had no map, however by using our my sense of direction we made it there! ?
