• 10 movies I look forward to watch this summer

I figured I’d share a few movies that will be out this Summer that I can’t wait to watch. My taste in movies is quite vast and I could have probably shared fifty different ones but I decided to narrow it down to ten instead {which proved not easy}Do you guys look forward to any movies this Summer?

Richard and I both quite like animated movies, I probably more than him. I really wanted to see The Croods because I liked the idea and the cast of this movie. It was super cute and I think the cast fit perfectly. I’m rather fond of Emma Stone she’s very quirky! The movie itself was entertaining and magical. There were a lot of fun ideas brought to life. I would say it’s not as good as other animated movies but I think most children would appreciate it. The whole 3D effect works well when it comes to animated movies so if you do go to the cinema, watch it in 3D!

This is a masterpiece beyond words. When I first saw the trailer for this movie I knew I had to see it cause of all the animals. I wasn’t sure what I was going into when I sat down with my best friend in the theater. I hadn’t really read anything about it. I didn’t know what it was about and I’m glad I didn’t. I cried my way through some scenes, laughed through others and was amazed at the cinematography all the way through. It has certainly been a while since I’ve since such a beautiful movie. If you already know the story I am sure you’d like to see it and if you don’t then don’t read about it. Just go watch it you won’t regret it!

After having to read some of Poe’s work in school some years ago I found him to be an incredible writer. I got myself “The Complete Tales and Poems” by Poe and when I heard about this movie I knew I had to see it. It’s a decent thriller/crime movie and it keeps you entertained. There are twists and turns a long the way and John Cusack did very well as Poe. It’s not one of the best movies I’ve seen but I think it’s worth watching. It definitely offers an interesting spin on how Poe’s last days were.

  • Last Nights Movie: Pride & Prejudice ♡

This is by far one of my favorite movies and novels. I love Jane Austen’s tales and this movie takes you on a magical and warmhearted journey into her universe. I love how romantic it is and the scenery in this movie is beautiful, so are the costumes for that sake. Oh I could go on and on about how much I like this movie. It’s one of those movies I never get tired of watching. And the entire cast is incredible.  So all there’s left to say is watch it!

Oh Peter Jackson you, you magnificent man! I loved loved loved Lord Of The Rings and I love The Hobbit as well. It is definitely worth watching! I personally think Martin Freeman is perfect as Bilbo Baggins and I am so glad Ian McKellen is still in the role as Gandalf. All in all I found myself in a beautiful magical well-known universe and the three hours went by too fast. I saw this movie in 3D and I’m not sure if it would’ve been better to see it without 3D. I do like 3D movies but mostly when it’s animated movies. I felt as if it was “too much” for The Hobbit to be in 3D. Of course it didn’t make it less of a good movie but it made me question if another version would have been better. I’ll get it once it comes out on Blu Ray and watch it then to compare. Have you seen it? Did you like it?

  • Last night’s movie: “Moonrise Kingdom” ♡

If you want a different movie you should pick this one! I had heard so many warmhearted words about it so I decided that I’d finally watch it. At first I was a little confused in the beginning of the movie and I wasn’t sure if I would like it or how it would turn out.  A good fifteen minutes in and I was hooked. Wes Anderson {the director and writer of the movie} has a very vivid imagination and created a beautiful story within Moonrise Kingdom. The two kids play superbly and as an extra bonus we have Edward Norton, Bruce Willis, Frances McDornand and Bill Murray as well.

A Peek Into: “Once Upon A Time”.

If you are as fond of fairy tales and magical worlds as I am – You will LOVE this show. When I saw the trailer to the show and saw that the people behind “Lost” was behind it I knew I had to give it a shot. When it finally came and I had watched the pilot I was hooked! Some of my favorite things about this show is that they portray all our well known fairy tale characters in a different way. Well of course some of them are very similar but a different tale has been spun as well. One thing that bothers me on the other hand is the special effects. I’m guessing ABC didn’t have the best budget for this {which I find a bit strange} since some of the special effects looks horrid. That aside It’s a wonderful and magical TV-show!
