• Yummy Cream Potatoes!

I promised my friend J to give his father the recipe for these so-called cream potatoes. So I figured why not make a blog post and share it with everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve made a recipe post anyway! Cream potatoes are, as the name kinda gives away, potatoes and cream, big surprise huh? This isn’t a very fat free dish but it is okay. It all comes down to what % cream you want to use and so on (:

    What you need:
    (For 2-4 people)

    • Large dish
    • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (Celsius)
    • 12-15 Potatoes
    • 1 small onion
    • 2 cloves of garlic
    • 1/4 liter cream
    • 1/2 liter Mornay Sauce
    • Salt and pepper

    1. This is basically all you need!

    2. Peel the potatoes!!

    3. Cut the onions

    4. Mix the Mornay Sauce and the cream together. I used a 9% cream and 14% Mornay Sauce.
    Some prefer to use a cream with more % in it but I prefer this since it’s less fattening (;

    5. Slice up the potatoes!

    6. Put one “layer” of potatoes in the dish

    7. Then put some of the onions on the first layer together with some garlic, salt and pepper!

    8. Pour some of the mixed sauce on top of the potatoes and then repeat nr. 6 and 7 until
you run out of space in the dish or out of potatoes..

… And it is now ready to be placed in the oven for approximately one hour. It might
be less then an hour or more depending on the oven etc etc.

VOILA! It is done and ready to be served. I would recommend serving it along
with some sort of red meat like a good steak and then salad on the side!

I had chicken to my potatoes cause I really like chicken haha!

  • LAST SUNDAY = CLUBBAGELS!

    I was asked to try and re-create a club’bagel’. Obviously thats a clubsandwich just with a bagel instead! So I decided to do it this weekend, as in two days ago! I apologize for the delayed blog but i was getting a new computer so I have been updating so many things on my pc and.. oi!! I’ve also gotten pretty smitten with Windows 7 I have been playing around with it too much. Any-horse here is MY version of the Clubbagel (;

    Ipod woo

Music is a must when I cook!

    004
You need bagels and some creme cheese. (Throw em in the oven and start to cut veggies)

    066

You can use any veggies really but for the one i’m re-creating this is needed!

    123

DONT FORGET THE PICKLES! (I nearly did)

    029

Curry Dressing: Creme fraiche (dairy product), curry, salt, pepper, chili, a small spoon of honey and some drops of virgin olive oil. Just mix it all together in a bowl and taste your way for it to be perfect!

    049

    084

Chicken belongs in a clubbagel, and ‘bacon’. (Btw there is enough chicken/veggies for more bagels)

    089

I use Smoked Tenderloin as an alternative for bacon, since there is so much fat in bacon.

    083

    113

    117

I bought some good cheddar cheese for this occasion!

    127

    … Start the “decorating”

    Voilá bon apétit !

  • A NEW RECIPE: LASAGNE

    This friday I tried a new recipe for lasagne. In this one there is a lot of vegetables and less fattening things. The result was great it tasted really good and this is the lassagne I will be making from now on! Normally I would use some milk instead of water and buy the white sauce already made, however this time it was made from scratch that way you know exactly what is in it (; Anywho here is how I made my lasagne;

046I Chopped all these things above.

049This was my preffered size. Not too small nor too big!

051Then I took these and mixed them together in a bowl. (Obviously not all the spices but I tasted my way too it)

065I took one small spoon full of oil and added the rinsed meat…

069… Then I added the onions and waited for a couple of minutes till’ i added the rest of the veggies

088The tomato sauce I had put together earlier was put in after the veggies :]

093… and a little water was added too. 1,5 deciliter to be exact

099As the meat + veggies stood on a low temperature for 15 minutes, the white sauce was done.

    101This is obviously needed!

109Cheese is also needed for topping the lasagne…

    110

I layered it with white sauce  – meat + veggies – pasta and then i repeated that. Cheese for the topping!

    132

VOILÁ!!! After 25 minutes in the oven on 200 degrees it is done and ready to be eaten
